Dabei betrifft es die Funktion setOpModeCfg der Datei /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi. Durch Manipulation des Arguments hostName mit unbekannten Daten kann eine os command injection-Schwachstelle ausgenutzt werden. Die Umsetzung des Angriffs kann dabei über das Netzwerk erfolgen. Der Exploit steht zur öffentlichen Verfügung.
